Little Girl - Heartfelt words on her wedding day

Little Girl
When you're a little girl, you dream of your wedding day, you dream of the dress you'll wear, and you dream of the things you'll say.
But sometimes in life, things don't work out just as you've planned, and I think you know what I mean by that, I'm sure that you understand.
And of course I miss my Dad so very much, especially on the day that I get to become a wife, it's the day when you get to realize a few home truths, and just how much he influenced my life.
I was not a very nice daughter to my Dad, but I know that he forgives me with all his heart, and I also know that he's pleased with my choice, and that he's here with us today, right at the very start.
Because my parents have always been there for me, they've been my inspiration, my light, my sunshine, and sometimes mere words are inadequate, sometimes it's hard to write the very next line.
Because, I really want to thank my Mom, she's truly been my rock, my support, and I'm thankful for all the love that she's given me, and for all the lessons that she's taught.
She's always been there for me, ever since I was just a twinkle in her eye, and her love for me is so enormous, it's just impossible to quantify.
Uncle Dale has been a stalwart too, he's been my surrogate father since Dad passed, and I would just like to thank him with all my heart, in my hour of need he's simply been steadfast.
And that little girl is still inside of me, and she's proud of her past and her future to come, she's proud of the man that she's married, she's proud of her Uncle Dale, her Dad and her Mom.
And that little girl says thank you, as she sets her new sails unfurled. Ladies and gentlemen, please raise your glasses: "To the best darned family in all this world".
