Amazing Grace - A "thank you poem" from a grateful Mom to her emotional and spiritual supporters. Option: Skip request and go straight to poem Q1: What is your Name?
Our little miracle is coming home,
and we have a wonderful sense of pride,
an overwhelming feeling of gratitude,
and these feelings are from deep inside.
Because we want to thank you all so much,
your hopes and prayers kept the dream alive,
and without your unstinting love and support,
I don't think any of us would've survived.
We are absolutely convinced,
that Grace wouldn't be lying there,
if not for your positive thoughts,
and the power of your heartfelt prayer.
That love came from all around,
even from strangers we never knew,
but it was exactly that spirited kindness,
that helped to pull Grace (and us) through.
Grace has simply amazed us all,
more than once she gave us a start,
but she found the will and courage to fight,
she truly has a determined heart.
So we thank you for your precious gift,
we will forever be in your debt,
and we think that Grace is amazing,
and we know she hasn't even started yet !
We're so very proud of our baby,
I well up when I look into her angelic face,
there's only one name that could describe her:
you've guessed it - she's our Amazing
Grace !

Amy kindly replied:
"...I love the poem!! The only thing
I'm not crazy about is the "ain't seen nothing yet" phrase."
(which was changed in the second draft)
