Thank you I really would appreciate you writing this poem for me as I do not know how to convey these thoughts - they come randomly like in this letter and feel you would have a way of expressing these things without sounding like a nagging mommy and encourage/congratulate as well - I hope I'm not asking too much - please let me know.
 
My Son

My son, you are eighteen,
And will soon leave your mother's nest,
A time of trepidation,
A time of happiness.
 
Since your Daddy died,
I've just done the best I can,
You've made me so very proud,
I've watched you become a man.
 
And now I see before me,
That man near fully grown,
Wanting to see the world,
And to be let out on his own.
 
And I understand your need for space,
And you won't be denied,
I'll try to be tough and brave,
And hide the fear I feel inside.
 
You're going to make mistakes,
Gee, I've made a few,
But it will all be experience,
Just do what you've got to do.
 
But keep one thought alive,
And this is all you need to know,
You can always count on me,
Whenever you're feeling low.
 
I've always loved you,
And I love you still,
And I will always love you,
I guess, I always will.
