- Will you marry me (again) ?
Most times, A Gift Of Poetry takes one or two drafts to complete. This poem actually took 5 drafts and in the end was a true collaborative effort. Carla was very pleased with the outcome... Full Name: Carla Klein Who do you want the poem written for?: my husband, Kenneth Klein Why do you want the poem written ?: We are renewing our wedding vows on May 8th on a beach in Hawaii while vacationing there. Key Messages: I want him to know how much it means to me that he really wants to marry ME! Again! How good it feels to know that he loves me that much, to let him know how happy I am that we've stayed together, and that I keep falling deeper in love with him. Memorable Moments: We've had many exciting adventures during our 12 year marriage. Hot air ballooning in Australia, snorkeling the Great Barrier reef, holding a baby Koala bear, fishing the Bahamas, walking the beach in Mexico, seeing the white tigers eye to eye in Vegas, cruising with friends in Alaska - and now, planning a trip to Hawaii. Building our dream home on 3 acres right on the river; the many days far out in the ocean on our boat just he and I under the sun catching fish; the farm days raising all the animals including our little pigmy goats and our baby deer. A lot of my friends are envious of our lifestyle, but we've also had our share of hard times. After Ken asked me to marry him the first time he later said he didn't mean it - but then told me he was only kidding - but that stuck with me and I've never believed he really wanted to marry me. It really means the world to me to be able to believe now that he really WANTS to marry me now. I feel like a kid getting ready for her big day! In the last few years he had become angry a lot, I became convinced he really hated me. I would rather live alone, broke, with just my cats for the rest of my life than be miserable with a husband. I finally told him in 2001 that I wanted to leave, he begged me to stay which surprised me, I didn't think he would care if I was gone. But I did stay and we are closer than ever now. We've broken each others hearts at times but we've both learned to treat each other better and to enjoy each other. Other Comments: Although we've had our rough times I don't really want to say much about those times. This is a happy time and all that matters now is today and our future. I like to sing and he says he thinks I'm good enough to be a star (except I'm too much of a home body). I want him to know that he is my song, my heartbeat. Style: romantic Package Type: Unique

There have been times in our twelve years,
when simply put, we just didn't get along,
we hurt each other's hearts
and sometimes we did each other wrong.
But our seeds of greatness grew in those valleys,
that's where our love decided to grow,
it not only grew but it blossomed
and now there's a few things you need to know.
Firstly, your love for me, enough
to marry me again,
is such an incredibly beautiful start,
you are my one and only true love
and once
again, My Leo, you've captured
my heart.
You'll never, ever have to worry again,
because this girl is never going to say goodbye,
as far as I'm concerned, we're together for life

For our marriage to have survived the tears and the
pain,

OH MY GOD!! That is incredible! Now that I've
dried my eyes to some extent I think I can try to respond. Ken has been home
with me all day and I've been dying to check my email - he just got called in
to the hospital so this is my first chance. I did think of something else
that I would like to try to include - the song that I've always told him
from the very beginning was my song to him. It is Whitney Houston's All The
Man That I Need. The chorus is "He fills me up, He gives me love, More love
than I've ever seen, He's all I've got, He's all I've got in this world, But
he's all the man that I need". If you'd like to see the entire lyrics go to

listen to the "I'm Your Baby Tonight" CD. If you need to shorten the poem I
could live without the reference to our dream home. Our home beautiful and we
put an awful lot of sweat into it - but it is just a house, and it won't be
our last - we're already looking at buying another 9 acres to build another
one - our 4th!
I like the Beach at Sunset paper - we're
renewing our vows at sunset on the beach in Hawaii so that is just perfect.
And I would love to have it autographed and have the original draft. Please
do publish it on your site, just delete our email address.

"Wow, we are really close. It is just
beautiful. Thanks for such a speedy response, I figured it would come in over
the weekend when Ken was close by and I wouldn't be able to respond until next
week.
There are a couple things that still just don't
hit me quite right...
The title - maybe - "Kenneth, my song, my
heartbeat". I don't really have any other ideas on this part - do you?
The 3rd verse - the cat thing just isn't
working for me, besides Angel Princess was pretty offended that I could love
anyone else as much as her ;-). I really
like the last two lines of this verse though. How does this, or something
similar, sound to you -
"Firstly, your love for me, enough to marry
me again,
Is such an incredibly beautiful
start,
You are my one and only true love,
and once again, My Leo, you've
captured my heart."
The 7th verse - let's delete the "for
really" on the second line.
The 8th verse - this song just isn't
quite working for me. How about this, or is it just too redundant -
"Because you're all I have in this world,
I promise I will leave you never,
?????
I will love longer than forever."
Lastly - can you find a place, maybe the
end, for something like -
"God must know how I love you so,
Once again, he's blessed us as man and
wife,
So come dream with me, my Sweetman,
As I've dreamed of this love all my life.
