I've been checking out your web site for a
while - I'm a big fan of your
poetry. I think you are very creative. I was hoping to "tap into" that. I need a poem. I'm in a relationship with a young lady, we've been together for three years. This is actually our second "go around" - we were a couple for about three years - separated for a time - and now we've been together again for about three years. Anyway, we've had our ups and downs. The love is strong, but there always seems to be an issue about trust (the lack of it) and caring (lack of). I want a poem to express that I love her (and always will); that I care deeply for her; and I do / want to / am trying to trust her . . . she should trust me. My name is Dion, her name is Tasha . . . if that helps. Although our names do not necessarily have to appear in the text. Anything that could express those sentiments would be greatly appreciated. Trust In Dreams
We belong together,
hopefully, for evermore.
I've never been this certain,
I've never been this sure.
So this trip is second time around,
and that has got an historic ring,
but you've got to leave that baggage,
and get a new suitcase to bring.
Because trust just doesn't go one way,
it is a long and two lane
street,
it's where love and commitment go,
it's a place where lonely hearts meet.
You know that I love you,
and that our love is strong,
and I promise, with a solemn vow,
I shall never do you wrong.

"I really appreciated the poem you
wrote. When I presented the poem to my
girlfriend - the poem sparked a lengthy conversation about our feelings for one another and our future plans. The poem really expressed all the sentiments I needed it to express. As a result of the poem and the discussion it sparked between my girlfriend and myself - we've been able to identify our true desires and keep our relationship on track. We are engaged to be married, and things look good this time."
