Hi Allen. I read a lot of your poems and I think they're great. I was
wondering if you could please write a poem for me for my ex-boyfriend. His name is Jacques and my name is Jill. We met about 3 years ago and everything was absolutely perfect the whole time we were together till about last March. I got drunk and cheated on him. I regret it more than anything else in the entire world and have stayed up all night every night wishing he would come back to me. We still talk about every week, but just on the phone. I have even contemplated suicide because he won't forgive me and take me back. He moved in next door to me when we first started seeing each other so I practically lived with him. We were together 24/7. I miss him so much, I've just turned to drugs and alcohol and I'm really going downhill. I'll stay up
all night just to hear his car coming down the street or hear his footsteps in the hallway. I just want him to forgive me and be back in my life. I want the poem written because I want him to know how hurt and mad at myself I am for ever cheating on him. I want him to know I realize I messed up a really great thing we had going. And, of course, that I'll always love him. I'm 18 and he is 21, he was my first love and when we were together I got his name tattooed on me for memory. I'm sure he would consider coming back with me if I
got off of drugs but I've tried and tried. I just can't stop doing them.
Also, that would be cool if you could include the animal llamas, because on our first date we saw a bunch of llamas. We have been to Niagra Falls, the beach, New York, and lots of other places. That's about it. Thank you very much

Jacques and Jill
 
Jacques and Jill have gone downhill,
and now don't know where to go.
Jacques went off on his own,
and Jill's left feeling low.
 
For three years it was fine,
then Jill had a drunken fling,
just a stupid one night stand,
that didn't mean anything.
 
But forgiveness can be hard,
and hearts can turn to stone,
and if no one starts the mining,
two people end up alone.
 
That stupid one night drunken fling,
gee, how she regrets that day,
but clocks can't be turned back,
because they only go one way.
 
And life is too short,
much too short for regrets,
and jealousy is a one eyed monster,
that, at sometime, everybody gets.
 
Now Jill has turned to drugs,
I guess she needed a prop,
but the day Jacques returns to her,
is the day that she will stop.
 
Does Jacques remember the Llamas
that they saw on their first date ?
They should grab that loving feeling,
and control their destiny, their fate.
 
Because Jill is so very, very sorry,
and she'll do just what she can,
and all she wants in life,
is Jacques to be her man.
 
So forgiveness is what is needed,
please forgive Jill's sins of the past,
and why not just start over,
and this time, make the journey last.
