THE OLD FART

 

Hello my precious darling,

hello my precious Old Fart,

where the Hell shall I begin ?

Where on earth should I start ?

 

I know there's an age difference,

you're my last hope for a man,

and I'm your mid life crisis,

we're just doing the best we can !

 

You can never sit still,

you're always out mowing the grass,

not that it's really hard work,

because you just sit on your big fat......seat.

 

You are a world champion snorer,

boy, you can really snore !

In fact, you've sawn so many logs,

they litter our forest floor !

 

We have two lovely daughters,

they are both growing and oh so fast,

but we won't buy that shotgun just yet,

we'll just warn them about parked cars !

 

We've got our six dogs,

and Brutus is our Great Dane,

you'd better watch his whip action,

that tail can cause a lot of pain.

 

I've seen you wince so many times,

and well, they're kind of precious to me,

so next time I'm going to protect them,

just watch me, wait and see !

 

You see, you are the most loving man,

I have ever known in my life,

and I am so very, very happy,

to be with you as your wife.

 

You are much more than a husband,

Mike, you're like my very best friend,

and it is hard to wrap all that up,

as these words come to an end.

 

But I just want you to know,

and that is what these lines are for,

I love you now and for always,

and I always will, for evermore.
