Superb At Sixty
Hello, my wonderful mother,
these words are just for you,
because we're proud of who you are,
and we're proud of what you do.
You are so very beautiful,
you're as pretty on the in as the
out,
and you've taught this family so
very well,
you've simply taught us what love
is all about.
You are literally our inspiration,
you're a wonderful guiding light,
you make sunshine out of rain
clouds,
you make mornings out of the
darkest nights.
You've always been there for us,
and still are today, even when
we're all full grown,
we're so grateful for your warmth,
and the love and kindness that
you've shown.
Yours, at times, was a rock strewn
path,
but you kept your head up, mile after rocky mile,
and you've certainly had your crosses to bear,
but you've always carried them with
a smile.
You were left alone at a tender
age,
how you must have missed your Mom
and Dad,
and of all your trials and
tribulations,
that must have been the toughest
you've ever had.
You've lost loved ones along the
way,
but sometimes things are just meant
to be,
and despite all, you've built a
loving family,
and you've done it so beautifully.
You're simply an inspiration to us
all,
and we're grateful for the lessons
that you've taught,
the love and kindness that you've
selflessly given,
is a priceless treasure that can't
be bought.
You literally mean the world to us,
you do so very much for everyone,
you are indeed our warmth, our
inspiration,
you are in every ray our morning
sun.
And sometimes we take you for
granted,
we get consumed in the trivia of
our lives,
but just know that it's because of
you,
it's because of you every one of us
simply thrives.
So we just wanted to say thanks,
that's really what these words are
for,
here's to you mother, you're superb
at sixty,
and here's to at least another
sixty more !
